AHRI Award for HR Leadership in Small Business

Supported by the Council of Small Business of Australia

AHRI wishes to extend the opportunity for small businesses (with less than 50 employees) to apply for the AHRI Award for HR Leadership in a Small Business to 2 July 2010. Applicants now have until Friday 2 July to submit their details and interest in applying for this award, and until 30 July to complete their submissions.

Recognising outstanding HR and/or people management initiatives contributing to success in a small business.

This award is open to Australian owned businesses with 50 or less employees.

Criteria

Applicants for this award are required to meet the following criteria:

  1. Innovation: The initiative incorporates a new approach to addressing the specific challenge the small business is facing
  2. Impact: The initiative has made a significant impact on the challenge faced by the small business and/or business outcomes
  3. Outcomes: The initiative has achieved or exceeded its objectives
  4. Sustainable: The outcomes achieved are sustainable and/or replicable
  5. CSR: The outcomes of the initiative represent a responsible approach to the community and/or environment
  6. Talent management: The initiative contributes to the attraction and/or retention of employees to the business
  7. Employee endorsement: The initiative has the endorsement and support of employees.
