The Fons Trompenaars Award for Cross Cultural Management
Recognising outstanding people management initiatives/strategies in the management of a multicultural workplace and/or managing employees across borders.
About Fons Trompenaars
World authority on cross cultural management, Fons Trompenaars is the Managing Director of Trompenaars Hampden-Turner.
Criteria
All applications for the people management initiative categories must address the following five criteria:
- Innovation: The initiative is based on/incorporates a new approach to addressing the specific challenge the organisation is facing
- Impact: The initiative has made a significant impact as its intention on the challenge faced by the organisation and/or business outcomes.
- Outcomes: The initiative has achieved or exceeded its objectives
- Sustainable: The outcomes achieved are sustainable and/or replicable
- Community: The outcomes of the initiative provide benefit outside of the organisation and can be used to educate others.
Applicants for this award must also demonstrate the following:
- Leadership: the initiative incorporated leadership that enables other people to perform better in a diverse and inclusive environment.
- Inclusion: the initiative contributes to ensuring employees feel they belong, are engaged and connected through their work to the goals and objectives of the organisation.
- Diversity: the initiative incorporates communication and learning strategies to address and manage diversity of the workforce.
